香港各界文化促進會成立於2001年3月。本會成立目的，純粹是非牟利而有助香港和內地發展，促使香港文化在未來歲月更加健康，更加璀璨昌盛。本會長遠目標，是促進學術文明，推動特區文化在一國兩制之下出現一個萬紫千紅的可喜新局面。

本會成員包括各大團體的領袖、香港各家大學校長、教授、文化界權威人士和各界別的精英。

本會成立至今，已舉辦了二十多項大型活動，都得到熱烈的回響與好評，具備了比較雄厚的基礎。在查良鏞、饒宗頤等多位文學泰斗關心下，在莊世平會長領導下，本會得到全港各界文化精英熱烈響應，並獲得全港各個主要團體、社會領袖的全力支持。

本會去年在促進香港與內地文化交流、紀念辛亥革命九十周年、紀念魯迅誕生一百二十周年、追思張學良，與及宣傳基本法等活動上，取得很大成功，並榮獲北京授予「文化貢獻獎」。

Introduction of
Hong Kong Culture Association Ltd.

The Hong Kong Culture Association Ltd. (HKCA) was established on 29th March 2001. The association is a non-profit making organization, which aims at the cultural and intellectual advancement. Our prominent aims are to help the development of Hong Kong and the Mainland China and to help cultivate a healthier and splendid Hong Kong culture in the future. The long-term objectives of the association are to encourage the cultural and intellectual development and to help create a spectacular culture of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) of Hong Kong under the framework of "One-Country-Two-Systems". We also wish to introduce the SAR of Hong Kong culture to other nations worldwide as well as to enhance cultural exchanges internationally for promoting mutual understanding and world peace.

The members of our association involve the leaders from various organizations, principals and professors at local universities, the brilliant scholars in the academic section as well as the experts and professionals in Hong Kong from different fields.

During the past 10 months after the foundation of the HKCA, we have organized more than 20 large functions. All these functions were well-responded and received delightful commendations. With the concerns of some famous intellectuals, such as Mr. Cha Jing-yong Louis (查良鏞) and Mr. Jao Tsung-I (饒宗頤), as well as the devoted leadership of our President Mr. Chuang Shih-ping (莊世平), the association has got tremendous support from many artists, writers, intellectuals, professionals, brilliant scholars, social leaders and large organizations in Hong Kong from different fields. The support has further strengthened the foundation of our association.

Looking back to the achievements of our association last year, the activities that we had organized, such as the Commemoration of "October Revolution 1911辛亥革命" 90th Anniversary, Celebration of Mr. Ru-xun (魯迅)'s 120th Birthday, Remembrance of General Zhang Xue-liang 張學良將軍 (1901-2001) and the events promoting the Basic Law of the SAR of Hong Kong, were all successful.
In December 2001, we were greatly honored for being granted the "Culture Contributions Award" (文化貢獻獎) in Beijing, China (中國世紀大采風活動) for organizing the functions and activities which have enhanced the cultural and intellectual exchanges between the SAR of Hong Kong and the Mainland China.
